AOI (Association of Illustrators) is an online-based company focused primarily on offering a platform and work opportunity to upcoming talent. In this project I was required to create a virtual exhibition for AOI.
Promotional Zine
After some exploration, I decided to pursue the theme of ‘New Horizons’ in response to AOI’s dedication to expanding the horizons of its featured artists and also to represent and captivate aspirational mindset of the followers of the organisation. With this in mind, I created an animated cover illustration of a young aspiring artists painting the sunset.
Accompanying this poster is a Posterzine I made in appreciation to one of AOI’s Senior Illustrators, Malika Favre. The artwork in the above photos is Favres’ work, I decided to choose the artwork which consisted of blue and red hues to create good visual coherency with the front cover I made. Unlike the poster, I tried to make the editorial design as simple as possible to avoid it competing with Favre’s work.
