Bolton FM is a radio station based in Greater Manchester. I have worked with Bolton FM over the last year on several projects, including website design, branding, posters, flyers and helped with events and training staff.
Website Design
The Bolton FM website was very outdated and needed a lot of creative initiative to reduce and simplify. Below you can see the new branded aesthetic I made for the Bolton FM website.
Daytime Show Icons
Bolton FM have a radio schedule with specialist shows (Folk, Jazz, Country, Classical music) airing from 6 pm till 6 am. These shows had their own self-directed branding, but for the daytime shows airing between 6 am and 6 pm, I created the following custom show icons, which are presented on the website.
Video Production
Beyond radio, Bolton FM also offer video production services for local events. I had the opportunity to assist the camera crew for a “Strictly Learn to Dance” charity event, hosted in the Bolton Wanderers arena. In an attempt to increase awareness of Bolton FM’s video production opportunities, I created a ‘behind the scenes’ montage, used for social media outreach.

Bolton FM made a decision to extend its influence by buying access to DAB (Digital Audio Broadcast) Radio. When making this business decision, Bolton FM decided to create a new company which offered DAB broadcasting to other Greater Manchester radio stations. They named this parent company “Bolton Bury DAB Radio” or BBDR for short. When implementing their new business initiative, Bolton FM commissioned me to design logo and brand for BBDR.

Charity Poster
Andrew Dickson, the Chairman of Bolton FM, asked me to design a poster to help promote a charity event for the Bolton Hospice.
